SWALIM Trains Partners on Google Earth, GPS & Open-source GIS

SWALIM is running a 5-day training course on Geo-Spatial software and systems for local Somali NGO’s based in Nairobi and in South Central Somalia. The course targets selected participants from the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Cluster, Food Security Cluster (FSC) and the Somali NGO Consortium and covers the Global Positioning System (GPS), Google Earth and basic Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It is a largely hands-on course with numerous practical sessions and exercises where the trainees use Somali datasets to practice the concepts covered in lectures. To extend the learning beyond the classroom, trainees will be provided with a set of learning materials to take away, including Power Point presentations, step-by-step manuals, sample datasets and reference materials.Running Sneakers Store | Buy Branded Footwear & Shoes Online In India
