Software requirements:

For proper display of dvd contents, internet explorer version 7 and above will be sufficient.

Adobe pdf plugin will be required to be installed for the pdf files to display properly. The plug in is provided in the dvd via the link provided in the front page. Alternatively the browser will prompt for the download.

Overview:

The water sources data was collected from the water sources inventory survey and the data subsequently entered and processed with SWIMS (Somalia Water Information Management System).

The maps were later generated from SWIMS using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tool namely ArcMap software from ESRI .The end product in the form of maps were later produced, published and packaged for desktop viewing.
