UNICEF - United Nations Childrens' Education Fund : UNICEF operates in the whole of Somalia regions and their programmes cover health and nutrition, water supply, sanitation and hygiene and basic education. In addition, the communication, protection and participation programme has activities that cut across all programme areas including: child protection; HIV/AIDS and youth development.
Food Security and Nutrition Analysis Unit- Somalia (FSNAU) : The Food Security Analysis Unit- Somalia (FSAU) seeks to provide evidence-based analysis of Somali food, nutrition and livelihood security to enable both short-term emergency responses and long-term strategic planning to promote food and livelihood security for Somali people.
ADRA- Adventist Development and Relief Agency : ADRA Somalia works throughout the Somali regions providing, development & relief assistance to needy individuals & communities through provision of Education, Food, Water and sanitation
TERRA NUOVA : Supports development programmes through rural development ,promotion of SME's and support to urban youth.
COOPI - Cooperazion Internazionale : An italian based development and relief organisation working with an aim to alleviate poverty, to assist the most vulnerable individuals and to improve livelihood of disadvantaged people. They help in providing access to food, healthcare education and financial security among the worlds poorest people. Also help to reduce their vulnerability to emergencies due to civil wars and natural calamities.
HORN RELIEF - Horn of Africa Relief and development Organization : Horn Relief is dedicated to creating sustainable peace and develoment in Somalia through grassroot capacity building , devloping youth leadership, empowerment of women and protection of environment. Horn Relief has activity bases in Sanaag, Sool, Bari Food security,Rural livelihoods, water, education, capacity building and environment Pastoral youth leadership, alternative livelihoods, women literacy, emergency drought and vulnerability, tsunami response and environmental study. UNDP Somalia - United Nations Development Program
CARE : CARE covers South Sudan, Most of Somalia and Somaliland. They assist in Food security and Rural development, Health, Education,Shelter, Water and sanitation sectors. Activities carried out include: Food distributions, capacity building, rehabilitation of infrastructure, reproductive health, Education, capacity building,food and fishing gears distribution, strengthening of fishermen associations, borehole construction etc Food security assesments,basic minor illness, drug use, immunization records, education enrolment, number of boats and fishing gears, baselines for livelihoods.
Caritas Switzerland : Caritas Internationalis is a confederation of 162 Catholic relief, development and social service organisations working to build a better world, especially for the poor and oppressed, in over 200 countries and territories.

ILRI - International Livestock Research Institute : ILRI Cooperating with UNEP and RELMA GIS and natural Resources Management-NRM Water harvesting Spatial data
RCMRD - Regional Center for Mapping of Resources for Development : covers whole of Somalia in Geo-Information projects design, spatial database development, Digital mapping for land use and cover. Its activities include: GISdatabase development, training planners on GIS and digital mapping of natural resources Remote sensing data.
SC UK - Save the Children - UK : Save the Children UK has a base at Hiraan and is involved in Food security and Primary Education Community sensitization by providing training, constructing schools,support for agriculture/food to communities Environmental changes, land and water management including access to household economy.
UN OCHA : United Nations Office for Co-ordinations of Humanitarian Affairs
Operates in the whole of Somalia. This agency performs the Coordination of humanitarian response/resource mobilization
VETAID : VETAID operates in Awdal,Sanag,Togdheer, Sool and Bari regions of Somalia. Their activitiess include: Rural production systems, natural resource management ,pastoral food security assesment Livestock diseases, pastoral production systems/income, prevailing market and climatic trends.
World Vision : World Vision Somalia programme covers Bakool, Middle Juba, and Somaliland Health,in the areas of Food security, Education, Gender/FGM and peace building. The current projects are in provision of Primary healthcare programs, Food security, FGM gender awareness program, Global fund TB Grant for Somalia and basic education support. World vision in Somalia collects data such as Nutritional data, EPI data,TB treatment and lab data, food security data, pupil enrolment, attendance and retention in schools.
Land Degradation Assessment in Drylands (LADA) : The Land Degradation Assessment in drylands project (LADA) develops tools and methods to assess and quantify the nature, extent, severity and impacts of land degradation on dryland ecosystems, watersheds and river basins, carbon storage, biological diversity and human livelihood at a range of spatial and temporal scales. It also builds the national, regional and international capacity to analyse, design, plan and implement interventions to mitigate land degradation and establish sustainable land use and management practices. Six countries - Argentina, China, Cuba, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia - have been selected for conducting pilot studies.
AGROSPHERE : This is a non profit organization dealing with agriculture and rural development.
CEFA : A non profit making organization of voluntary service and cooperation greatly involved in community development, agricultural and rehabilitation programmes. Its activities cover the whole of Somalia.
GAA - German Agro Action : Supports self help projects for youth and children as well as emergency programmes mainly to poor victims of war and natural disasters. Their project work concentrates on the areas of: agriculture and environment, survival and reconstruction aid, children and youth, crafts and business, strengthening self help groups and partner organisations.
ARDO International : Based on the Juba riverine regions. Collects and maintains information on river gauges and provide timely flood warnings to the Juba riverine community.
CINS : CINS operates in Bakool, Galobeet and Hiraan. Rural Development Seed systems rehabilitation and crop diversification Shebelle River level in Bulo Burti
